How to Set Ringtone on iPhone

1. Open GarageBand: Launch the GarageBand app on your iPhone.

2. Create a new project: Tap the “+” button to start a new project and select “Audio
Recorder”.

3. Import your song: Tap the loop icon (looks like a circle with a music note inside), then tap “Files” and browse to your song. You can also import songs from Apple Music if they’re downloaded to your device.

4. Trim the song: If the song is longer than 30
seconds, you’ll need to trim it. Tap the track, then tap the scissors icon to open the editor. Drag the handles on the timeline to select the portion you want (maximum 30
seconds).

5. Export as ringtone: Tap the “My Songs” button (looks like a triangle in a square) to return to the song browser. Tap “Select,” then select your project, then tap the Share button and choose “Ringtone”.

6. Name and export: Give your ringtone a name, and GarageBand will automatically shorten it if it’s longer than 30 seconds. Tap “Export”.

7. Set the ringtone: After exporting, tap “Use sound as,” then choose “Standard Ringtone” to set it as your default ringtone, or select “Assign to contact” to assign it to a specific contact.
